Season 1 (try #7) - a quick version

as the title says, this was my 7th try at FM2011. out of 6 times I've made it past the 1st season twice, only to be fired by october. Well, not only did I make it through the first season, I was also promoted to the Premier League, runner up for coach of the year, and had the top scoring team with 85 total goals(but only a +14 differential, more on that later). The following are the best goals and match highlights from the season. chronological, you bet. uploaded in 1080p for no reason at all.

This is my main man, Alberto Bueno. On loan from Valladolid, this dude was wrecking defenders with great footwork and touch. Had 20 goals before being stopped in Feb with a season ending injury. My goal is to grab him on transfer for the new year.

Right time, right place. Paul Green with a solid follow up. I remember after winning this game and thinking that I was on to something good for once.

Hustle from a big pickup on transfer from Toulouse FC, Alexandre N'Gadi.

Beuno went on a tear in October with 2 hat tricks. This was the first of those.

The goal that put us up 2-1 against Tottenham in the FA Cup.

Bueno VS. QPR. Berto comes in and just has a field day scoring 4 against QPR.

First real crazy game of the year. 4-3 nail biter with Cardiff.

So, we had tied Tottenham 2-2 in a FA match, win 2 more inbtween, and straight up got smacked around in the rematch. Hell, we gave some fight all the way til the end.

This is where scouting paid off. Pick up this kid, Jamil Adam, from the irish national squad on a free transfer. We were very weak at striker with an unproven 18 and 19 y/o and Bueno on loan. Our top striker was on loan to Blackpool and the next was injured until 3/5ths into the season. Adam racked up 19 goals and 10 assists in 37 appearances all season.

David Martin with a wicked free kick.

Down 2-0 in the first round of promotion playoffs, we rally to come back and win 4-3 total. One step closer.

Highlights of the stressful promotion game against Sheffield United.

now that I have my first year jinx off my back, i'm going to try to keep up more with a weekly/bi-weekly(in game) update.
