Week 15
Swansea v. Derby County
1-0 loss. Bywater had another great game. everybody else was not so much. How can the losing teams goalie get man of the match? I guess its not all that bad considering they are the goal scoring team of the year so far. uh, has anybody seen a win?

FML, 0-0. The bright point is that Bywater was out with a small injury and our new 18 y/o GK, Jak Alnwick, kept a clean sheet his first game out and had some crucial saves. win, please?

2-1. I can't believe we lost this so close to the end of the match.

Derby County v. Nottingham Forest
well, to honest, I'll take a draw here. We should have won but Forest was just behind me in 9th. Ben Davies will a goal again but he needs to take it easy on the long shots. We outshot them 17-2 in this game. Total bummer.
Derby County v. Hull
Looking for a spark here. Changing up the formation and line up for this match. Hull are playing well but I sense a weakness. Swansea just took them apart 5-1, lets hope to take them out at the knees.
Bywater, come on man. He had that. Need a win. Soon.

Derby County v. Wolverhampton
FML the streak has ended. losing 0-1 to the Wolves isn't that demoralizing, it just stings like an ant bite.
Week 12
Middlesbrough v. Derby County
Wow, a lucky bounce saved the whole match. 1-1 draw, I'll take it. Barker's red card put us in a bad spot early.
Derby County v. Watford
What A heart breaker. 2-2 draw. Ben Davies missed one off the side bar during the 88', would have been goal of the month if it made it in. Bummer we couldn't hold on to the lead after being down 0-1.

Adam breaks his goal drought with 2 goals. Take him out for a few games and he comes back to take care of business. I hope he develops even more.

before the match started, Cywka was awarded npower Player of the Month racking up 4 goals in 5 matches, including one that was the 2nd best goal of the month (vs. Bristol City). On to the match...
That goal for Ben Davies @ 40min was a rocket!! This match was hard fought. Nail biter to the end. 3-4 victory. Some rest is needed for sure.

WTF?!?! 3-1 loss and I really need to figure out how to turn this around.

Good game from Porter straight from the being on the bench. Good to see Cywka get back on the sheets. Feeling like this 4-4-1-1 is doing well for us. It was sloppy goals that lost it for us against Leeds but after coming some rest we shut down Leicester. LETSGOOO!

Cardiff v. Derby County
Coming into the game I was hoping we carry over some momentum.
Porter to Cywka then Cywka to Porter. Looks like I've got a good front two going on. Bywater with another clean sheet is a plus too.

Cywka/Porter Combo Strikes Again. Another one two punch. They kept it too close scoring one before the half in injury time. We held on through the second half.

lost 1-0. No video because I didn't score. Pretty underwhelming. Onto the next one.

Derby County v. Sunderland (English League Cup round 2)
Another shutout. 0-2 to Sunderland isn't that bad i guess. At least it was a team in the division above not from the team just promoted to my own league. What's next?

another shutout. 0-1 this time. I need to turn this around quick.

Derby v. Morecambe (English League Cup First Round)
First round of the League Cup out of the way. Bywater with the Man Of the Match. Could have been a bigger win, but whatevs.
Derby County v. Portsmouth
Croft scoring :23 into it was a great boost right off the bat, too bad it didn't keep up. Injuries to Cywka and Paul Green in the final minutes took the steam out of us late. I'll take the point I guess.
side notes; Turned down a 2.8 million offer from Bolton for Brayford. Holding out to see how the season goes. Also, drew Sunderland in the next round of the League Cup, boo-urns.

The start of a new season...
I've started my 2nd season as Derby County in Football Manager 2011. First order of business last night was to get drunk/stoned and buy a ton of 18-20 y/o prospects.
Now I have a huge first team squad. Great.
Next order is to figure out who I need to loan/transfer and hopefully start the regular season off right.
